I have an ll cup Cuisinart that I purchased new in probably the middle 70’s. It still works and has kept on working all these years with almost no problem. I did have to buy a new bowl at one point. It is the workhorse of my kitchen and I can’t imagine being without one. I had two food processors before that - the first was one my husband brought home for me and I was sold on it after slicing vegetables for chop suey. The motor wore out after some months of use. Then I bought another processor, not a Cuisinart. I burned that one out even quicker than the first. I told my husband I “needed” a Cuisinart and he didn’t think so. I started saving money where I could and finally saved the $199 for it, went out and bought it and when my husband wondered what it was, I told him it was the processor he said I didn’t need. I have never regretted that purchase. I would never buy any other type of food processor.
